Unlock Potential/Healing from the Inside Out, ThetaHealing Master, Author, Karen Abrams, California

On February 4, 2025, Edge Talk Radio welcomed ThetaHealing Master, intuitive healer, and author Karen Abrams from California for an inspiring conversation about overcoming limiting beliefs, healing emotional wounds, and creating greater abundance by transforming ourselves from the inside out.

Karen's introduction to ThetaHealing began when she witnessed a close friend's remarkable personal transformation. Her friend had struggled with relationship difficulties, health concerns, and emotional patterns that were affecting her professional life. After working with ThetaHealing founder Vianna Stibal, Karen noticed significant changes in her friend's confidence, relationships, and business success.

Curious about what she had witnessed, Karen attended a ThetaHealing class herself. At the time, she had been experiencing anxiety for six years. Although traditional therapy had helped considerably, she still struggled with its effects.

Karen described feeling unexpectedly grounded and peaceful after her first class. She credits the experience, along with continued practice, with helping her overcome the anxiety that had affected her life for so long.

This experience inspired her to continue studying ThetaHealing and eventually help others address the emotional patterns and beliefs that may be holding them back.

During the conversation, Karen explained that ThetaHealing is a spiritual and meditative practice intended to access subconscious beliefs and encourage emotional transformation. Practitioners use visualization, intuition, and spiritual connection to identify beliefs they associate with fear, insecurity, and self-sabotage.

Karen believes that when people begin changing their internal beliefs, they can develop greater confidence, healthier boundaries, and a stronger sense of self-worth.

One of the most meaningful discussions centered on the importance of meeting our own emotional and physical needs.

Karen pointed out that many people, especially those caring for children, aging parents, or other family members, spend so much time meeting everyone else's needs that they neglect their own.

Over time, this can contribute to exhaustion, resentment, and feeling overwhelmed.

She encouraged listeners to begin making small commitments to themselves, whether that means taking a walk, spending time with friends, reading, enjoying a hobby, or simply allowing themselves a little quiet time.

By honoring those commitments, Karen explained, we begin rebuilding trust in ourselves and recognizing that our needs are just as important as everyone else's.

The conversation also explored how procrastination is often connected to feeling overwhelmed. Rather than viewing procrastination simply as laziness, Karen encouraged listeners to consider whether fear, emotional exhaustion, or uncertainty might be preventing them from moving forward.

As people begin addressing these feelings and creating healthier boundaries, everyday responsibilities and business decisions may become easier to manage.

Another central theme was the relationship between emotional well-being and financial success.

Karen shared one of her favorite observations: "Money issues are life issues that hit your wallet."

She explained that financial struggles can sometimes be connected to deeper patterns involving self-worth, fear, relationships, or past experiences. Although external financial circumstances also matter, recognizing these emotional influences may help people make more confident decisions.

Karen shared examples of clients who, after working through difficult experiences and developing greater self-confidence, began pursuing opportunities they previously felt unable to consider.

For her, abundance is about much more than money. It includes supportive relationships, emotional fulfillment, personal freedom, and the ability to enjoy life.

Midway through the interview, Karen guided Angela and listeners through a ThetaHealing meditation focused on receiving love, appreciation, support, joy, and abundance.

Throughout the experience, she invited participants to consider beliefs about deserving happiness, receiving financial support, forgiving themselves, and recognizing their personal value.

An especially memorable moment came when Karen discussed the importance of recognizing the support and positive experiences already present in our lives.

Rather than allowing one difficult experience to define an entire day, she encouraged listeners to notice small moments of kindness, gratitude, and progress. She suggested replacing the habit of saying "but" with "and," allowing us to acknowledge challenges without overlooking the good things happening alongside them.

The conversation also explored forgiveness, personal power, and the importance of finding joy in everyday activities.

Karen shared that she contributed a chapter titled The Money Card to the anthology Untold Secrets of My Transformation. Through researching her family history, she discovered financial patterns and beliefs that had been passed down through generations, along with stories of entrepreneurship, generosity, and resilience.

As the interview concluded, Karen reminded listeners that our past experiences matter, but they don't have to determine how we see ourselves or what we believe is possible for our future.

Her message was about recognizing our worth, taking responsibility for our well-being, and allowing ourselves to create a more fulfilling life.

What I Learned From Karen Abrams

One of the biggest things that stood out to me was Karen's statement that money issues are life issues that hit your wallet.

When we begin healing the deeper issues in our lives, especially those connected to our self-worth, emotions, and past experiences, our relationship with money can begin to change, too.

I also loved her reminder about meeting our own emotional and physical needs. So often, we're busy taking care of everyone else that we forget how important it is to take care of ourselves.

When we make time for ourselves, honor our needs, and allow ourselves to experience joy, we become energized on so many different levels. That shift can help us recognize opportunities, make different choices, and welcome unexpected possibilities at just the right time.

Karen's explanation of ThetaHealing and the different ways she uses it to address limiting beliefs really resonated with me. It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes moving forward begins with looking within, recognizing our own value, and giving ourselves permission to receive.
