Energetic Awakening with Energy Tools Inventor Peter Benson
On June 18th, 2024, Edge Talk Radio welcomed energy tools inventor Peter Benson from Arizona for a fascinating conversation about energetic awakening, intuition, copper, crystals, intention, and his journey from a highly technical career into creating tools he believes can support people energetically.
Peter's path is especially interesting because it didn't begin with a career in spirituality. He spent more than 15 years as a mechanic, becoming an ASE Master Technician, followed by approximately 20 years working as an engineering technician. His world revolved around machinery, tools, metals, robotics, problem solving, specifications, and data. Looking back, however, Peter realized that intuition had been part of his work all along. He often sensed the source of mechanical problems before the data confirmed what he already suspected.
Around 2016 and 2017, Peter began experiencing a major personal and energetic shift. Searching for answers led him to the work of authors including Michael Newton, Brian Weiss, and Dolores Cannon. Their writings challenged how he understood consciousness, the soul, reincarnation, time, and the larger purpose behind human experiences. Eventually, those questions led him to explore the work of Slim Spurling and the use of copper in creating what are commonly called tensor rings.
Peter became fascinated with combining what he already knew about metals, tools, fabrication, and engineering with this entirely different understanding of energy. He began experimenting with copper rings and other designs, eventually creating tools for sound bowls, healing work, meditation, and personal energetic practices. He described taking some of his early rings to a sound bath, where the practitioner later asked him to make additional rings after experiencing them beneath her crystal singing bowls.
One of the biggest discoveries for Peter was the role of intention. He explained that some of his earliest attempts were technically constructed correctly, but he felt they weren't producing the results he expected. He had approached them entirely through what he calls his logical or "left-brain" way of thinking. As his process evolved, intention became central to how he created and worked with the tools.
That combination of the technical and intuitive became a recurring theme throughout the conversation. Rather than abandoning everything he learned during his mechanical and engineering careers, Peter found a completely different application for those skills. His experience working with metals, torches, machinery, measurements, equipment, and problem solving gave him practical abilities he could now use to physically construct the designs he was envisioning. At the same time, he learned to trust the intuition he had been using throughout his life in an entirely new way.
As Peter's work continued to evolve, he began creating more specialized tools using combinations of copper and crystals. According to Peter, some of those designs came through guidance or "downloads" he associates with Archangels and Ascended Masters. He described himself as the person capable of physically bringing those designs into form—combining the spiritual information he felt he was receiving with the practical skills needed to actually build them.
One example was an anklet design Peter attributes to guidance from Archangel Metatron. He described receiving instructions involving a tensor ring, copper mesh, and specific crystals, including tiger's eye, lapis, black onyx, morganite, and tanzanite. Translating that concept into a finished physical object wasn't immediate; Peter said it took approximately a year and a half to finalize the design and find the materials needed to make it work the way he envisioned.
The episode also explored Peter's belief that different combinations of metals, crystals, geometry, and intention can create tools with different energetic purposes. He discussed designs he associates with Archangels Metatron, Michael, and Chamuel, as well as tools intended for grounding, energetic boundaries, meditation, emotional support, and spiritual connection. These experiences reinforced for him the idea that the finished object isn't simply about the materials themselves, but also about the intention and energetic purpose behind its creation.
Perhaps the larger message of Peter's story was learning to trust both sides of himself. His logical, mechanical mind didn't disappear when his spiritual awakening began. Instead, his technical knowledge became part of how he expressed that awakening. The mechanic, engineering technician, intuitive, inventor, and spiritual seeker eventually became different pieces of the same path.
Peter also emphasized that the tools aren't meant to replace a person's own abilities. He sees them as a way to help people become more familiar with their own energy and recognize the power of their intentions. Ultimately, his message was about learning to understand your own frequency, trust yourself, and recognize that guidance or tools may help along the way, but the deeper ability remains within the individual.
What I Learned From Peter Benson
Understanding the intricate connection between certain metals and crystals and how they can be used with intention for healing and connection was fascinating. What really stood out to me was seeing the end result of what Peter describes as Divine channeled messages from Ascended Masters transformed into physical tools with a specific intention. I also loved seeing how the skills he learned throughout his mechanical and engineering career became exactly what he needed to bring those messages and designs into physical form.
