Addiction into Spiritual Awakening with Psychic & Author JD Radewan
On December 5th, 2023, Edge Talk Radio welcomed Psychic, Energy Worker, Spiritual Coach, and Author JD Radewan for a deeply honest conversation about addiction, healing, spiritual awakening, and learning to reconnect with yourself through life’s darkest moments.
Raised in rural Wisconsin, JD shared how his awakening did not begin with peace or clarity, but instead through addiction, fear, emotional pain, and what he described as a “Dark Night of the Soul.” After years of struggling with addiction and feeling disconnected spiritually, his life began to shift in 2017 during a powerful awakening experience that completely changed the direction of his life.
Throughout the episode, JD spoke openly about the fear and confusion that came with awakening, including overwhelming synchronicities, spiritual experiences, and learning to surrender instead of fighting the process. One of the biggest turning points in his journey came after his aunt wrote him a simple message while he was in prison: “God is love.” Those three words helped transform the way he viewed spirituality and healing.
JD also discussed working with Archangels Michael, Raphael, and Metatron, developing his connection through meditation, energetic work, and spiritual practice. He emphasized that every awakening journey is different and encouraged people not to judge their own path by comparing it to someone else’s.
Another powerful part of the conversation focused on inner child healing. JD shared how reconnecting with his younger self became an important part of overcoming shame, addiction, and emotional pain. Through guided meditations and intentionally creating joyful experiences, he began rebuilding a sense of safety, healing, and self-worth.
The episode also explored themes of judgment, perfectionism, boundaries, empathy, and learning to release shame. JD spoke honestly about how healing is not about becoming perfect, but about continuing to grow, stay authentic, and remain open to change.
What I Learned from JD Radewan

What stood out most to me was his willingness to continue listening to his heart and believing in himself, even during some of the darkest moments of his life. His story is a reminder that awakening and healing are possible, even when the journey begins in difficult places.
